News from St Peter’s Emergency Relief

Saint Peter's Emergency Relief Logo 3-14Many thanks for the response to our blanket appeal – it was excellent and we were able to distribute many blankets to grateful clients, We hope that this kept their power bills down as they are encouraged to wrap up when watching television.

Also thank you to all who donate to our food basket at the back of the church. We are very thankful for your assistance.

In the warmer months food items needed are, Corn Flakes, Rice Bubbles, Pasta and Sauce.  Tin foods – Beetroot, Fruit, Rice Cream, Vegetables, Fish, and of course the ever faithful Baked Beans and Spaghetti.

If it is convenient, we request our Christmas donations be given during the month of November. As we start to distribute hampers and gifts from the first Thursday in December this helps us in knowing what we need to purchase.

If you are donating gifts could they be left unwrapped as this year we plan to let the client’s choose what they would like for their family – we need gifts for both boys and girls of all ages.   Hamper items needed are: Cakes, Puddings, Hams, Custard, Tin Fruit and any other Christmas goodies.
