Parish News: Sunday 19th June 2016

New Stained Glass Windows – This weekend as we celebrate the Feast of Saint Barnabas, we commence the Faculty process that will lead to the installation of two new sets of stained glass windows in the church.

The windows commemorate the faithful ministry of two former congregations in our parish, Saint Barnabas’ Church, East Maitland and Saint Luke’s Church, Buchanan and give thanks for the Saints who were their patrons. Please take the time to look at the information carefully at the back of church. The Parish Council has received approval from the Heritage Council to install six sets of windows in the coming years.

Men’s Fellowship Dinner – Wednesday 22nd June 2016 – All men in the Parish ar invited to join us for dinner on the fourth Wednesday of each month (except in December). On Wednesday 22nd June we look forward to welcoming Graham Smith from the Parish of Mount Vincent and Weston who will be speaking on his recent journey on the Trans Siberian railway as a railway enthusiast.

We gather at 6.00 pm in the Parish Hall and after a short act of worship we enjoy a great meal before listening to our speaker. The cost for the evening is $12. Please put your name on the list at the back of the church each month. For further information contact Fr Peter Rothnie, 0438 413007.
