We were delighted to be joined by our guest speaker and preacher Father John Deane, Executive Director of the Anglican Board of Mission, on Sunday 28th May 2017 for our Overseas Mission Lunch.
We were delighted to welcome our Bishop, Bishop Peter Stuart to preside, administer the sacraments and bring us his teaching at our Patronal Festival on Sunday 25th June 2017.
Bishop Peter baptised and confirmed catechumens, welcomed newcomers into communicant membership of the Anglican Church of Australia, and awarded Royal School of Church Music medals to members of our Junior Choir.
On a chilly winter’s evening in early July, we were pleased to welcome The Secret Garden Sessions for a night of incredible music and entertainment. The organiser of the event, Dan Burrows, was struck by the awe-inspiring beauty and acoustics of our beautiful Church building and decided that it would be the perfect place to film a concert live on location.
On Sunday 3rd September 2017 we were thrilled to commission Kim Hodges as our new Parish Ministry Assistant. Kim has responsibility within the Ministry Staff Team for ministry amongst young adults and newcomers. Kim is exploring a calling to ordained ministry, and we hope that in due course she will serve as a Parish Deacon within our community.
