Jesse

Parish Ministry Apprentice

2017-jesse-for-webJesse Poole was born in the local area, moving to the Sunshine Coast with his family before settling on the Mid-North Coast in Forster, attending high school at Great Lakes College. It was here, he says, he was blessed with many opportunities to serve in his local community, becoming involved in groups such as student and youth councils, young Rotarians, The Loop, Homebase, Halogen Conference, and Project Vanuatu.

Raised in an unchurched but deeply spiritual family, Jesse came to the Christian faith at 21 after engaging with the historical and theological tradition through the ministry of the Saint Mark’s Community in Islington.

He is undertaking studies through the University of Divinity in Melbourne whilst ministering with us as our Parish Ministry Apprentice.  Jesse is a candidate for ordination in the Diocese of the Murray and, God willing, he will be made a Deacon in Advent 2017.
