Saint Peter’s Op Shop

Op Shop.jpg

Open every Thursday and Friday from 9 am to 4 pm
and on Saturdays from 9 am to 1 pm.

Where to start?  What a Roller Coaster – within six weeks of deciding to open an Op Shop at Saint Peter’s we opened on 23rd November 2017 and what a fabulous turnout we had.   Our new Mayor of Maitland, Loretta Baker, cut the ribbon and we opened for business.

We have a wonderful team of volunteers who have worked tirelessly to make it all happen and we are so proud of each and every one of them.  We also have to recognise our Parish Family that has been there every step of the way

It is very humbling and rewarding to be part of this new venture.  We see it as first and foremost an Outreach Program, helping our community.  Then there is the benefit for our Church Maintenance Fund, together with the recycling aspect which results in less landfill.  A win for all!!

Bargains Galore

Our Op Shop is open every Thursday and Friday from 9 am to 4 pm and on Saturdays from 9 am to 1 pm.    Located at the rear of the Parish Hall and accessed from Banks Street, there is plenty of off street parking adjacent to the Op Shop.

We offer a wide variety of goods – clothing, household items, books, children’s toys, games, Manchester, general bric-a-brac, etc.   All goods are pre-sorted to ensure that only quality items are offered for sale.    Our prices are very competitive – we rely on a quick turnover of items in the shop that is best achieved by offering quality goods at a bargain price.

Having a Clear Out?

We are always happy to receive donated items – if you are having a clear out at home and have items that can be re-homed, please bring them to the Op Shop where they will be very much appreciated.

Have Some Spare Time?

The Op Shop is staffed by volunteers – if you have some spare time and are interested in helping out, please speak to any of the staff at the Op Shop and they will be happy to provide you with details of how you can become involved.
